Hamilton College is a non-denominational Christian school located in South Lanarkshire, originally founded in August 1983 by the late Mr Charles Oxley. In the years since it opened, it has not only grown to accommodate a senior school, but also a junior school as well as a nursery. The school now accommodates pupils aged 3-18 and in allowing the pupils to start at nursey it ensures that they are able to experience everything that the school has to offer. This allows students to form close and friendly relationships from an early age.
The school has both full time and part time members of the teaching faculty. With regards to the Junior School, there are ten teachers as well as a Head of Junior School and a Head of Department for J1-J4 and a Head of Department for J5-J7.
In the case of the Senior School there are 37 teachers of which 7 work on a part time basis. There is also a Pupil Support Staff team for those in the Senior School. The purpose of this team is to aid the pupils as best they can on a variety of issues. These issues can be relating to their schoolwork or any potential issues that they may have with other pupils.
