Glenalmond College is an independent school located 8 miles from Perth and one hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow in Scotland. The school was founded in 1847 by William Ewart Gladstone, a British liberal politician. It is a co-educational independent boarding school for children aged between 12 and 18 years old. Glenalmond College used to be an all-boys school until 1990, however, the school became entirely co-educational only in 1995. The school is composed of eight boarding houses: Reid’s, Srkrine’s, Goodacre’s, Home, Lothian, Matheson’s, Patchell’s and Cairnies.

Glenalmond College is one of the top boarding schools in Scotland. It values academic achievement and is proud of its records at both GSCE and A Level, allowing the vast majority of pupils the freedom to enter the university of their choice. The college also emphasises on challenging its pupils and giving them opportunities to develop their leadership skills through a variety of academic and extra-curricular activities.
