Glenalmond College is an independent school located 8 miles from Perth and one hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow in Scotland. The school was founded in 1847 by William Ewart Gladstone, a British liberal politician. It is a co-educational independent boarding school for children aged between 12 and 18 years old. Glenalmond College used to be an all-boys school until 1990, however, the school became entirely co-educational only in 1995. The school is composed of eight boarding houses: Reid’s, Srkrine’s, Goodacre’s, Home, Lothian, Matheson’s, Patchell’s and Cairnies.
