Cedars School of Excellence is a non-selective Independent Christian School based in Inverclyde, Scotland. It is a day school catering for girls and boys from the age of 5 to 18. At senior level the iPads can be taken home by students and used to support homework as well. Integral to this system is the use of iTunes U. This is used both for teacher’s professional development, and for students to access learning materials, in additional to classroom learning and presentations.
Student’s learning also benefits from the school’s house system. Houses receive awards to celebrate achievements in a range of areas. These include, but are not limited to, their academic learning. Students are also awarded for being responsible citizens, confident individuals, successful learners and effective contributors.
